Kitten Program

At Dr. Battier’s we know how expensive your kitten’s 1st year of veterinary bills can get, so we came up with a plan to help you save money while providing the same excellent care. This program includes:

  • Your kitten’s first year of core vaccines (The core vaccine for an indoor cat is the FVRCP vaccine series. The core vaccines for an outdoor cat are the FVRCP series, as well as the FeLV vaccine series and the rabies vaccine)
  • Fecal testing to check for parasites
  • Deworming medication to help protect against parasites
  • FeLV/FIV test to test your kitten for feline aids and feline leukemia.

The kitten FVRCP, a series of 2 vaccines, is given a month apart between the 2nd and 4th months. The FVRCP vaccine is a 3-in-1 that helps protect against: feline viral rhinotraceitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia. The FeLV vaccines are a 2 vaccine series that protect against feline leukemia virus, and are given between the 3rd and 5th months and the rabies vaccine is given between 4th and 6th months.
